With the New Year and the holidays upon us it is a good idea to start thinking about starting the new year out fresh and clutter free. If you have some furniture in your home that begins to collect dust, books, clothing, and anything else that could collect on it, it is time to say goodbye to it or find a use for it. The great thing about items such as moving pods is that you can pack it as you want, have it taken to the area and then brought back whenever you want! De-clutter yourself!

Thanksgiving is two weeks away and Christmas is a little over a month away. So you should start thinking about what it is you are wanting to buy for those in your lives. I will be looking at baby bedding for my nephew Jeremy as well as some awesome stuff for the rest of my family. What is a gift that you can give that will give that special someone in your life a lot of joy in their life?

Are you planning on staying home for Thanksgiving surrounded by friends and family or are you planning on going on a trip and staying at a hotel las vegas style? Whatever your plans may be you should remember to give thanks and thoughts to everyone that you have around you and everything that you are able to do. Tomorrow is a new day and you never know what is going to happen. Remember that on Thanksgiving.

My husband bought some Rhubarb the other week. Of course, he had to have it but has yet to actually make anything with it. That usually happens. I do not think I have ever had rhubarb so I will not be the one baking anything with it. Cupcakes and cakes are my specialties. Not pies! Like bar stools sitting in the middle of a room, with pies I am out of place. So, here is a recipe for him to make on Thanksgiving!

INGREDIENTS

1 recipe pastry for a 9 inch double crust pie
3 eggs
2 cups white sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons milk
1 tablespoon butter
4 cups diced rhubarb

DIRECTIONS

1. Roll out pastry for bottom crust, and place in a pie dish. Place rhubarb in crust.

2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs slightly. Mix in sugar, flour, vanilla, milk, and butter or margarine. Pour mixture over rhubarb. Cover with top crust, and seal the edges.

3. Bake at 400 degrees F ( 205 degrees C) for 50 to 60 minutes.
