I made a grilled chicken sandwich from a pound chicken and it is still costs less than a Chick-fil-A grilled chicken sandwich. That’s not value. People tell me that they can’t afford to eat high quality health food. But if you can afford fast food, you can afford to eat healthy food. To prove that point I purchased a McDonald’s Bacon and cheese Angus burger, a Wendy’s double with cheese hamburger and a Chick-fil-A chargrilled chicken sandwich. Then using high quality healthy ingredients I made the same sandwiches using Baucom’s Best grass fed beef and pastured poultry, Rudy’s organic buns, Horizon organic american cheese, uncured bacon and fresh vegetables. I was able to make the same hamburgers and chicken sandwiches for less. Better tasting healthy high quality food, for less. Here is how I did it. McDonald’s Angus burger is 1/3 pound of beef. and Wendy’s doulbe is 1/2 pound of beef. Chick-fil-A grilled chicken is 3.2 ounces. Here is the price per ingredient that I used for my calculations. Baucaoms Best ground beef .30 per pound. Baucoms Best pasture poultry .99 per pound. Organic bun $ .62, organic cheese $ .33 per slice, uncured bacon 1 1/2 strips $ .54, onion $ .05, pickles $ .04, condiments $ .04, tomato $ .25 lettuce $ .04. Using these high quality healthy food ingredients it is actually less expensive to eat good tasting real food than it is to eat fast food. Fast food isn’t quality, healthy or a good value. The price is too high and the food quality is too low …

@videodude4 The food cost is more expensive, but FF companies jack the price 200% up to make profit of their food. So, initial cost of a BigMac for example is about 79 cents. Just trust him. It is cheaper in the end :)
I don’t understand how if you use more expensive ingredients it turns out cheaper? Usually with organic its more expensive so your food should cost more. Why is this not the case? I just love your videos very interesting..
Omg is he gonna eat that cuz i want it lol
Lol but the fast-food taste good
That one person that disliked wants to be fat XD. Bwt great video.
i just realized that the portion size difference from Canada to the U.S standards is immense. Can’t understand why the portion size is so big.
@TerryMMA85 Drinking your own piss is better than fast food. Bear grylls is a good inspariation!
well you have to go out and buy the food then cook it,take into account energy used + time to prepare and washing up.
Fantastic video Bryan!
I guess another reason people eat fast food is because it is ‘fast’. with hectic lifestyles these days people don’t want to cook at home.
But using your recipe I’m sure you can freeze a few patties and throw them on the grill whenever you need them.
Keep the great videos coming.

@omikeyz Thank you. Please forward my videos on. Eventually it will reach critical mass. :)
Brilliant, I just wish more people would view your videos. I stay away from any processed food and the money I save is unreal!
@imrepeto But the costs of heating, cooling, overhead, employees, etc also allpies to the stores that we buy the raw ingredients from. And you are right, it really is a pay now or pay later proposition. Thanks.
They have other cost we pay for other things like heathing, cooling etc. Well done! Even if it was more expensive you would haver to pay for the doctor and cures of the problems bad food cause.
i enjoyed this and will be sharing it on facebook and with family. thanks
@NerdyMoe That’s a good question. The meat that most restaurants use is the same meat that most grocery stores sell. Your best choice is grass-fed beef or pastured poultry. If those aren’t available then organic would be the next best choice. If you’re in the States, try Baucom’s Best in NC. They ship nationwide. I have been to their farm many times. They run a very clean operation with high quality meat.
Is Walmart meat or food depot or any other grocery store meat low quality?
Hey man.you should make a video review for panera bread.
WOW oh WOW! What a Great Video. That blows my mind. Look at what you get dining out and it’s so bad for you, yet eating healthy is not. You’ve just proved it!
Very enlightening and informative.
We have changed our nutrition plan to all natural and organic products and do not go out to fast food any longer and actually our grocery bill is less per month. Save money, EAT AT HOME!

Great info. THANKS for sharing!!
Thats the excuse of most fat americans, ” cant afford it”! well finally someone proved it to ‘em!!
Hello, Bryan! I’m a girl who has been watching your awesome vids every time you provide! Tx a lot, Bryan! actually I got tempted to look around a Mcdonald near my workplace about 5hours ago even though I’ve been started to stop eating those! but at the moment, the facts made me shock in your vids reminded me that I don’t need to have a Bic mac meal as my lunch! woohoo! It’s kinda something refreshing on the streotypical ways of me to decide to take a meal in my challenges..! Awesome! Xoxo
FANTASTIC video, Bryan! I’ve already decided to purchase my sauces and vegetables organic – this is one more reason to look at buying meats as well.
Sadly, there isn’t as much selection in Calgary, Alberta (CANADA) – 1 large organic food store I’ve been to with higher prices. My good friend tells me there are quite a few more store choices in Vancouver and the costs are much less, but oh well. Perspective is everything, and I love how you break it down like this.
Alan48085′s comment saddens me. There are people who actually think that man made processed food tastes better than real whole natural food.
@alan48085 The fast food is flavorless compared to patured chicken, grassfed beef and organic. People think that coke is whata cola tastes like, when in fact it tastes nothing like a real cola made with cola nut. We are so used to the taste of processed food, that it actually tastes good. It’s not. Once you have eaten organic for a few months go and eat fast food or processed food. It then will taste disgusting and bland (not to mention sending you to the toilet repeatedly the next day).
