    Hi, I have at this point tried four recipes from this cookbook and have found almost everything disappointing (as has my husband). The chocolate sesame bonbons come apart whether baked or raw. The rainbow kale salad was very bland and boring, except for the dressing. However, her measurements are really off (or at least, they haven’t worked for me in any of the recipes). I didn’t have enough dressing for the 6 cups of kale with the 2 tablespoons of olive oil. The beet soup with oranges was about a “B” for me, not nearly as good as traditional beet soup. The the galactic green smoothie was was too sweet, with dates, apple juice, banana and papaya. Not only that. I had to keep adding apple juice because it was so thick. And still I didn’t end up with two 16 oz servings. I am really disappointed and am rather surprised that so many find this book to be a good one. Give me the vegan cookbook “Friendly Foods” any day!

    Hands down, this is one of the best, easy to follow and easy to execute cook books ever!!! I am a Vegetarian, love to cook and own tons of vegetarian/vegan/raw books, I am picky, this guy (Mark Reinfeld) knows his stuff!!! Every recipe I have tried from this book has delivered! The recipes are quick, if it says 30 minutes it truly is, Mark even indicates if it takes longer. I have carniverous, red neck, Kentucky-fried-chicken eating friends try tofu for the first time ever, loving it and asking for the recipe…!! I give this one as a present and everyone has loved it, there are lots of good and not so good cook books, this one is outstanding and remains my go-to favorite!! You don’t even have to be a Vegan/Vegetarian to like this, a quick easy way to try Veganism, or just incorporate healthy recipes into your life!

    These guys know how to put together great recipes. No funky ingredients, no weird instructions, just great, healthy flavorful recipes. All my co-workers look to see what I bring for my breakfast smoothie- this morning was the Strawberry Shortcake Shake. I also LOVE that it’s paperback and well made.     We love this cookbook! Our favorite parts are the introductions to each recipe; more like small vignettes, they capture the reader and awaken the inner creator/chef in all of us. Jennifer and Mark share bits of themselves, their travels and their inspiration in these introduction pieces, making us feel like we’ve got them right here in the kitchen cooking with us!

    We also appreciate the attention to detail, the Variation ideas at the bottom of the recipes, the Quicker and Easier options, and the Tips and Tricks sections.

    The Superfoods for Health bits also add value to this book; love that these recipes include lots of ingredients that support our Well-Being in such a big way.

    And then for those of us who just love being in the kitchen, there’s the ‘If you have more time…’ sections. There are days/moments when we afford ourselves the leisurely afternoon creating in the kitchen and it’s nice to have these expanded ideas as well.

    All around, an amazing-chock full of awesomeness cookbook! We highly recommend it. Now, if you’ll excuse me…the Live Cinnamon Rolls on p. 69 are beckoning…
